An afternoon of dance for the Over 50s

Presenting informal dance sessions for all to take part and a scintillating showcase of dance performances to watch, Golden Celebration presents an inspiring and entertaining afternoon of dance activities and a fun social event.

Explore the fun of creative dance and Bollywood dancing in two 30-min long dance workshops, then sit back and enjoy a superb selection of short live performances by professional dancers and community groups. Highlights will include: professional Festival artists Saju Hari, Kebaya Moturi and James Mweu performing vibrant new choreographies; Karen de Silva’s charming solo ‘Betty’s Day Out’, the story of a woman drawn into her memories over a cup of tea; The DeVyne Dancers from Knaphill in their successful piece ‘Timelines’ by Adele Thompson; a balletic duet by Tom Clark; and a new dance piece performed by pupils from Horsell Village school.
