Although
choreographed, not every move can be rehearsed as the performers are exposed
to wind and weather. It is all the more surprising how fluid their movements
are. They climb the tower with impressive lightness and acrobatic agility,
shroud themselves in fabric or are suspended upside down in midair like
spiders. Every move works, is slick and full of elegance.rQuote from: bieler tagblatt 1.7.05
NB: We may have to alter the
time of the performance as the shows cannot take place if it is raining or
there is more than a light wind. Please register your mobile phone number with

From Switzerland
comes the breathtaking Orbite: a 17-metre tower with spinning wings, activated
by seven fearless climbing & abseiling dancers.
ORBITE is a play of body, weight, gravity, momentum & turning points
combining dance, aerial, acrobatics & theatre. It is an intricate dance of
supple human bodies partnering the tempo & weight of the steel. Like
pirates of the night the dancers court risk by climbing the narrow edges
between balance & fall.
Don't miss this gravity-defying spectacle on its first
& only UK date as
twilight falls over Woking
Park. An added
extra is the opportunity to take part in open workshops and watch local groups
perform at Woking
Park on Saturday 5 July
5.30pm – 8pm. Please take a look at Big
Dance (Dance in the Park)
for more information.
