Woking Dance Festival is pleased to announce that following a successful grant application to Comic Relief managed by Community Foundation for Surrey we have a number of bursary places we are able to offer to young people aged 13 plus on our Summer Dance Project taking place from Monday 23 July to Saturday 4 August.
The Summer Dance Project runs from Monday 23 July to Saturday 4 August; offering two weeks of energetic, fun and challenging dance, an opportunity to work with a professional choreographer culminating in 2 performances at Rhoda McGaw Theatre, Woking on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 August. There are three different dance styles for you to choose from:
- Hip Hop
- Contemporary / Ballet
- Contemporary/ Jazz / Tap*
Join us for eleven enjoyable summer days, improve your dance technique and performance skills; meet new friends. Experience & learn what it’s like to put together a performance including, technical & dress rehearsals from scratch! No experience necessary. This is a great opportunity to try something new.
*The dance project is designed to accommodate those of you who have little or no jazz or tap experience and will be structured according to the group’s ability.
