WOKING DANCE FESTIVAL

I am aiming to adapt the site-specific interactive performance for restaurants that I created in Bogota, into a performance for cafés in England. The original performance involved seven dancers, this new piece will involve three professional dancers and fifteen students.

The performance will consist of a set of characters who would appear in big groups, moving through the café, interacting with each other and their surroundings. They would also perform as duos, trios, quintets… at the tables. These ‘mini dances will be ordered from a menu (from now on they will be called menu dances). This will allow the audience to learn more about each character and their relationship to each other, and subsequently get a particular feel for the piece as a whole.
